June 22, 2023 – International Mail Delays in Australia, New Zealand and Italy

Australia Post are reporting some delays on arrival due to a large increase in inbound volumes

New Zealand

New Zealand post advise that they are suspending mail deliveries Friday 23rd due a red weather

warning in Tairawhiti / Gisborne area.

Also note that they are still experiencing some delays from previous weather events and anticipate delays in orange weather warning areas Napier/Hawkes Bay, Coromandel, Bay of Plenty, Eastern Marlborough, and road closures impacting Hastings

Italy

Following the extensive flooding in May there were significant delays in a number of postcodes in the Emilia Romagna and Marche regions.

The following still do not have postal service restored :

47010, 47012, 47014, 46018, 47121, 47122, 48013, 48018

Postal services to all other impacted postcodes was fully restored end of May/early June, although with some delays while backlog of mail & parcels was moved through the postal network
