Mail Delays in New Zealand – 16 May 2023

Reported heavy rainfall and localized flooding in New Zealand, delays of 1-2 days continue to impact deliveries countrywide, particularly in areas still affected by the recent weather: Whangarei, Northland, Coromandel, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Wellington, Tokomaru Bay, the West Coast, and of some inter-island items from the North to the South Island.

There are minor delivery delays countrywide, and in and out of the following areas:

·     North Island: Northland, Whangārei, Tokomaru Bay, the Coromandel, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Bay of Plenty, and Wellington.

·     South Island: The West Coast, and some inter-island items from the North Island to the South Island.

·     Deliveries only where access allows in Northland, Coromandel, Gisborne, and Hawkes Bay, particularly in rural areas
