INTERNATIONAL SERVICE DISRUPTIONS

AFGHANISTAN – All mail and parcel services are suspended indefinitely.

AUSTRALIA – Services in NSW are gradually returning to normal following extensive flooding. There are still delays in the following postcodes which suffered most impact: 2747, 2748, 2749, 2750, 2752, 2753, 2754, 2756, 2757, 2758, 2759, 2765, 2775. Available capacity on flights is still challenging – particularly from LAX – this is causing some delays while airlines struggle to cope with high passenger demand limiting cargo space

GREECE – Hellenic Post has updated that they are currently experiencing an IT system issue. The post is working to resolve this issue as soon as possible, however, items destined for Greece may experience delays until this has been fixed.

ITALY – Poste Italiane is reporting the backlogs/delays in processing parcels through postal customs have significantly improved, with final mile deliveries now only impacted by a few days.

JAMAICA – Jamaica Post has advised that their international mail processing centre has been experiencing IT issues affecting the connectivity and customs-related procedures which have prevented the processing of International Mail. As a result, delays should be expected to items destined for Jamaica while this is resolved.

MACAO – Macao Post has informed that they have been assessed as being at extremely high risk of a community outbreak of COVID-19. In order to prevent this, the local government has declared a state of immediate prevention as of 19 June. As a result, all deliveries are suspended until further notice. Material can continue to ship but will be held on arrival until deliveries resume.

NETHERLANDS – Dutch Customs are experiencing IT issues. They are working to resolve it, but there is an impact on all shipments arriving in NL while the issue is resolved – this impacts both commercial and postal customs clearance. Customs expect the issue to be resolved quickly, but note that some customers may see delays this week.

NEW ZEALAND – Note that New Zealand post is advising some delays in arrival processing due to staff shortages. They are also reporting some in-country delays: up to 2 days for parcel delivery in North, South, and East Auckland, Whangarei, Hamilton, Tauranga, and Palmerston North. They are also experiencing delays for parcel delivery of up to 2 days across much of the South Island, excluding Nelson, Blenheim, and Timaru.

RUSSIA – All mail and parcel services are suspended indefinitely.

SOUTH AFRICA – South African Post has informed that the post is currently relocating its Johannesburg office of exchange. This relocation will impact the processing of items and therefore delays should be expected for items destined for South Africa until this is completed. As of today, the relocation is not yet completed, so there continue to be delays on arrival.
